I own the big service book. However, for the life of me I cannot find where to interpret the wrench code that has popped up on my machine. Currently there is a little Wrench with the number "2" beside it. Could somebody help get rid of my ignorance? Thanks, Dan

Ok, they just alternate. The service intervals are broken up into multiples of 600 miles, and the chart on page 127-8 shows what is due and when.

Yes. There is 3 service symbols that pop up.

First one is JUST A WRENCH.
this is the 100m break-in first service.
This will only pop up once.

Next one is WRENCH 1.
this is the 600 mile service. It's really just some basic checks you should be doing often anyways. No oil change.

Next one is WRENCH 2.
This is at 1200 miles. It is full service oil change and other things.

Then it repeats back to wrench 1.

Above applies to Pioneer 1000 and Talon.
500 and 700 is different.

To clear it.
Hold the button on the display and then turn the key to ON (don't start it.)
Wrench should flash and reset.
Like in 3 or 5 seconds. Let go of button.

I think you have to have it on the Odometer or the trip (can't remember which) when you do it too.

Wow... Thanks so much everybody for the responses. I had the Big Service Manual (could find no reference to the wrench codes), but apparently just needed the regular owner's manual. Yes, it is probably about time for the 1200 mile maintenance. Will get that this winter in the shop while the snow is deep and shop is warm.... Bless you all...

You can get an electronic copy of your owner's manual here.

Good to have on your phone. I honestly can't remember what it's saying with the 1s and 2s, but it's in the manual.
Thanks... Now I have a copy of the Owners Manual on my computer.....
