Nice work! Are the different colored springs all the same weight? How much would you want for the black ones?

I'm told they're all the same weight rating, but I have no concrete evidence to back that up, either...I let my buddy hang on to the black ones, he wanted to try fabbing them onto his brothers outlander 600, but if that doesn't work out, I'll get them back and contact you, I'll only ask what I paid for the red springs, $50 plus whatever shipping.

Red on red looks sharp!!
Thanks! I thought so too. I was just happy to find a set of commander shocks that weren't yellow lol but I would have dealt with it or tried painting them. It was like fate when I saw the set of red springs posted.

Sorry if this has already been covered... does anyone know how much the commander shocks actually lift the p7 front end? I found a set but my pioneer literally just fits into my garage door with maybe 1 inch to spare. If the roof is any higher at that high point at the "hump" in the roof I am toast.

Let me know if anyone has good info on this. Thanks!

You can drop the roof to sit on the roll cage behind the drivers head and drill new holes for the rear cage clamp bolts to drop it more than and inch. I had to on mine

Thanks for the feedback.... that's what I was afraid of. I'm looking at building a new shed to keep the pioneer in at this point because the bike could use some more ground clearance for sure and there is no way to raise my garage door lol.

What spanner wrench is used for adjusting the shocks? I would normally use a set of adjustable ribbed jaw pliers but I cannot get the on the rears.

I used a pipe wrench, you could also use a screwdriver or punch with hammer and tap the collar around. I've used both methods with good success.

You could use ratchet straps to compress the spring some then lift unit by the frame to take the weight off, the turn by hand.

I tried making a new thread but apparently it didn't work so I though that I wouldn't post this here as well.

Hey guys I finally found myself some commander shocks and ended up with two pair to choose from. So I thought I would post the screenname of the guy with the other pair. (With his permission). panamaRed14 on commanderforums.org has a set he is willing to sell.

I ordered mine from a place in Oregon. The steel sleeves were sent to buy a fellow formite who had leftover material. I know there is a post some where on this forum. Do a shock bushings search.?

As mentioned earlier in the post I had issues getting the tubing from the ebay seller and ended up using McMaster Carr. It was 3 day shipping from them too.
