My buddy is ready to put the rigs on the dyno. Think me and @joeymt33 are going to go sometime soon and get a baseline and tuned run. Need to find the closest 1:1 in the tranny.
Yea. I thought it was odd. Havent looked it up yet to see. I guess the main thing is the difference between the two. Would like to run yours without the intake cover...Finding 1:1 won't be perfect. The sub trans isn't 1:1 in high or low.

My tip is already bigger than the muffler hole. One of the exhaust companies dynoed there muffler on the pioneer and it only picked up 1hp and 1ft# with the loud muffler. Theirs eliminated the cat also.Do us a favor when you make your pulls. After you get the base line remove the turn down from the muffler and make a pull.

Sweet! it should be easy to access with a concrete bit, hammer, and a chisel.Right where the pipe goes into the muffler. Triangular looking.
I'm still less than optimistic a tuner is gonna produce good increases on a stock engine. But my experience is based on sport bikes not sxs's. It's possible Honda left some meat on the bone since they are so new. Total HP increase is gonna be minimal (I'd be astounded if you got 5% out of it). The improvement is gonna be from cleaning up the graph where it dips and spikes.1/1 that's all? The muffler should be free!
10lbs might be nice on a race bike with a midget driving, but I'm 200lbs and it ain't no race bike.
Unless there's some yuge gain to be had with a tuner it doesn't seem worth time or money.

The biggest advantage I see is down the road when the aftermarket finally catches up. Cams, exhausts, headwork, etc.
