I finally got everything in order for my street legal, and mounted my license plate mounted up. This past Saturday I was ready to mount the plate, so I involved my 12-year-old son, and we looked over the rear of the machine and came up with an idea for a custom plate mount. Check it out...I love how it turned out:
Perfect!!!

That's almost exactly where i put mine with some L brackets and cheap led tag lights from Amazon. I broke 1500 miles last weekend...
Nice! I see we’re thinking alike. I should break 1500 miles later this year. Once the days get long I spend a lot of time riding. ;)

My buddy Shane and I met up at the Jones Water campground off HWY 60 and we headed North up to Haystack Ranch. We got way back into some rough/remote country. 44 miles round trip. Rambo did awesome! I even had some people tell me only to attempt one big hill along the trail in a RZR. Rambo did it 1/2 throttle, 1st gear, 4wd.

Thanks. Now that weather is turning around, and days are getting longer, the off-roading is picking up. I’m loving the P500. We used to take two quads, but now we get to chat all day.

Are the kids still riding CRF Honda’s you purchased a while back?

Yes to both. My buddy agreed, it’s about expectations. If you expect the Pioneer 500 to behave like a 60-64” SxS, you’ll be disappointed. But, if you get it through your head that it’s a four-wheeler you can sit in SxS, you’ll love it.
Yeah, they should not be compared, they are quite different, but the P5 is special....

It looks like you have quite a bit of pressure in those tires. I drive on similar trails and roads, although a lot wetter, with 4 pounds in each stock tire and I find that I don’t feel many of those small rocks.

Thanks for the feedback! I have found about 7psi works well for me, but on this day I did not have my pressure gauge with me, and...yeah they may have been a little tight. I did not know you could go as low as 4psi. That would certainly soften things up.

I'm happy with the Ricochet Off-Road a-arm guards that I installed on my 2018 Pioneer 500. Here's a video of the before/after and my thoughts after several hundreds miles with them installed.

Those are A arm guards, skid plates cover the belly of the machine...probably just a type O? :D Check out the Rock Sliders too for protection at rocker panel area that factory skids don't cover. ;)

Correct, just typed it in too fast and didn't think. I'll make the correction. And yes, I've been thinking about the rock sliders, because my ROPS has taken some beating on the sides.

Yes, those holds are a good add for a small price. Recommended for ease for getting out after long ride with sore rump and legs.

You know, they feel almost over-engineered, which I like. And yes, after a long ride, they ease the ingress/egress. I’m sure I’ll put them to use this riding season.

I added these UTVMA should belt pads to Rambo. So far they seem like a really nice product, and I'm hoping they lessen the cutting-into-my-neck feeling I get on long rides from the shoulder belt.
