Samsung Tablet Suggestions

Looking for suggestions on what Samsung Tablet to get for mapping. Hoping to find a good deal on one during Prime Days. What model is the best bang for the buck? I really don't use for anything but loading maps on for riding.

My old tablet took a crap last year after about 10 yrs of use. Picked up a new A8 from Lifetime Maps this spring since I already had their maps. Never seemed quite right and after 1 ride I got to reboot a couple times and it would get stuck updating and now wont turn on at all. Lifetime maps was no help with the tablet, told me i had to deal with samsung. I have tried everything I can think of and everything on any youtube video I could find. So I guess it's just dead.

Not sure what the newest version is, but I run a dedicated Samsung Tab A7 10.4" 64GB with LTM. Works great for me, but it's a couple years old.

Edit: I think the current is the Tab A9+

I picked up a TAB 8 for a reasonable price, the TAB 9 was still a little more than I wanted to spend for a GPS unit.

Edit: I dont have lifetime maps, been using Gaia and onX trails without issues.

Upgraded my tablet this year before TO, this is what I purchased.

Very satisfied with my choice. I only run LTMap and have a few MBs of music loaded on the tablet. I also.added the flipup tablet holder and love it.

P.S. If you have the monthly map update plan they will swap you subscription from 1 working tablet to another for free.
That would be cheaper than paying the service charge to move it for you.

I hear ya. My Rugged Radios setup for the Talon was supposed to be here today, but FedEx delayed it until tomorrow.

Gives me an extra day to tell Mrs Scoop ... LOL.

My Samsung tab A8 had a 1 year warranty on it. I just had to contact Samsung. They sent me a shipping label for their repair shop in New York. About 3 weeks after I shipped it I got a new one in the mail. I guess they couldn’t fix it 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
