Trail Armor and Factory Utv are the best you can get IMO. I have a Trail Armor and I like it and many have the Factory Utv and like it as well. The Factory Utv is around a $100 cheaper.

If the Factory UTV (aftermarket brand, not Honda) is also 1/2" and $100 less, I'd check it out. The Trail Armor has good side protection, extending just past the lower, outer edge of the Talon on both sides.

Edit to add: here's the Trail Armor web page with good pics and there's also a good video at the bottom of the page showing how much it covers. If the Factory UTV can match that coverage for $100 less, I'd like it. Make sure it's also 1/2" though, IMO.

I did the Trail armor 1/2” on my P1K5 and I am very pleased with it, they also gave me a discount when I said I was a member of hondasxs, 10% I think it was. I can’t speak for the other brands but anything is better than nothing.

Anyone tried the Tusk Quiet Glide skid plate? It is full body and 3/8 thick for $499
IMO, you are better off with 1/2” over 3/8 not sure what your riding condition are, but from my experience you never know what the trails will be like. If your doing 3/8 over 1/2 because of cost, I say call your dealer and price a sub trans, or an oil pan or any other component under that rig and all off a sudden 800-900 bucks is cheap.
