Trying to document Pete's transformation. So far he has a hard roof, popout windshield, warn winch, brushguard, rear fender flares, and pyle 500w tube. Almost forgot the control arm guards. Second battery, isolator, pdm, light bar, and cubes to come next weekend. Damyou @JACKAL !! LOL

Definitely better at home than on a trail stuck in the mud with no other choice!! Glad it worked out!) I need to get some full skids. Which brand did you get and do you like it?

I went with the Trail Armor. They were a little pricey, but definitely bomb proof. They fit up well, but not perfect. I would have felt better about it if they were $500 instead of $800.

I didnt realize how time consuming this thing would become. Wiring and electronics are 95% done. Still trying to decide whete to mount the red led strip. Its ~6ft long.
Also still waiting on my usb outlet for the switch panel.
Under the hood is complete, although still debating inline fuses on the pdm lead and isolator leads.

Found a nice out of the way mount for the pdm.
copied @JACKAL on the:

Can you give some details of the light bar and the cube lights? Maybe the brand /model number and where you bought them. I would like to do that same kind of set up.

OK, I wasn't happy with my first switch plate that my friend made for me, so I ordered one from a professional. Much better fit, and it's powdercoated metal instead of plastic. The holes are also a much tighter fit, so the switch seals are nice and tight.
Here's a pic of the "rats nest"

That's looking good. I wish my wiring wasn't so much of a rats nest.

Has anyone employed the "bus bolt" method for grounding accessories???lol The bottom lead on the bolt (the 6ga) is grounded to the frame, and then most all accessories (except the winch and pdm itself) are grounded on the bolt.

I should probably go back and heatshrink these leads. At least it would look better.
