I
I have a 12' PJ trailer that is 83" wide. It has removable side rails that are used as loading ramps, so I can side-load my Rancher and rear-load my P500. It is a single axle with a 3500-pound weight capacity. Really handy!
I look forward to your update. I like the size (big enough but not too big) plus the large wheels. It seems like many smaller trailers come with small wheels and 2200 Lb axles. I would prefer "overkill" suspension rather than just enough. Was it a special order or did R and R have it in stock? If special order, how long did it take from the time you ordered it?$2200 out the door with a spare tire. Seem to be good to deal with. I'll know more after I actually get it.
Its not about the size.....lol...sorry. Couldn't resist.I look forward to your update. I like the size (big enough but not too big) plus the large wheels. I wont try to post anymore joking references to teenage sayings...It's 2999lb rating so it doesn't require brakes. It was a non-standard size, but there wasn't additional charges for building. It was priced between two standard sizes.
I like using a 5x8 trailer with the ramp gate folded over. Those ramp gates catch a lot of wind, so doing this increases my fuel economy on the highway substantially as well as allows me to use a smaller trailer. Just use a pair of ramps to load and unload, much easier than something as high as a pickup bed.
Finally got my trailer in and up and running..Ended up being $2300 out the door with spare tire ($115) and including the $320 extra for the bifold ramp. The trailer is 5x10 so I only have about 5" on each side when loading. Loading is real easy with that ramp being so long when extended. Added the Ridgid tool box on the tongue. I moved the unit a few more inches forward on the return trip and it towed better. Must have been a little too light on the tongue.

Indeed very sweet trailer!
Where in Montana are u going?
Stop by for an elk steak dinner
If you are planning to put tracks on your P5, you will need a 63x123.... even then you will need to modify the tailate a bit since with the tracks it is about 130 inches long by 60 inches wide. just on wheels, 5 x 10 will do.i just purchased a new Pioneer 500 and I need a trailer. I read where the P-5 is 103 inches long. Is anyone using an 8x5 trailer with a ramp? I may have to go with the 5x10 or 6x10 if the 5x8 with a ramp won't fit the Pioneer.
Looking to get a larger trailer than my current 13 ft cargo area (single axle). Hauling a P500 and Rancher. Any feedback on a true 16 ft long bed, or the shorter combination side load and rear ramp type. Anyone converted a 13 ft to cut out the sides and wondering if that weakens it for weight of both machines. Local dealer has a 83"wide, dual axle with brake, side load for $1900. Looks like I need 16 ft end to end with both.I have a 12' PJ trailer that is 83" wide. It has removable side rails that are used as loading ramps, so I can side-load my Rancher and rear-load my P500. I can carry both my Rancher and my P500 with the 12-footer. As I said, I find it real handy. The dual-axle setup your local dealer has, which I assume is a 16-footer, seems like a decent price.Looking to get a larger trailer than my current 13 ft cargo area (single axle).
