Will you be able to hear more engine noise with these vents installed? I would think so. @Delton, can you take some DB readings before and after?

I use an APP on my phone. Do you have one available? They're probably not very accurate, but it will still give you a difference before and after even if it's not calibrated to what is true.

Just ordered 6 aluminum ones. I'll find something to do with the plastic ones. My daughter likes to swing her legs sometimes and would probably smash the plastics lol. Thanks for the help! I may upgrade my blowers to 4" instead of the 3s too. I noticed at higher speeds on the road, the blowers don't do as good of a job. I'll wait to see how vents do first though.
I know someone who might like to have 2 of your extras... ;)

Wow - a $10 heater for winter !
Guess I don't need to save up for the Honda Heater. (not that I was).

It would be interesting to see some actual temp readings before and after the vent instal.

If this all works I'm gonna use a three way switch on the dash. Switch up = heater. Middle = off. Down = cool.

I think I am going to make a trip to the hardware store today to see if I can find these local. Just got to remember to keep the socket extensions away from the bumper on this one.....

I'll try and do a comparison. Will be riding tomorrow so I'll take baseline readings with just the blower and shielding. Then I'll take readings after the vents are installed.

I have two 3" blowers but one 4" will do just as well. Go to Amazon.com and search for attwood 3 inch bilge blower. I got both of mine for less than 34 bucks.

Is there a fan motor out there that a guy could wire up that would blow one direction then switch directions and blow the other direction with the flip of a switch? This would eliminate the need to flip your motor around in winter. I hunt lions all winter so I like the idea of a heater! Great mod!

I'm thinking you would want to block off these vents in the summer. Maybe a piece of that aluminum backed insulation that everyone used under the seat stuck to the inside of each vent. Easy to remove to get ready for each winter.

The plastic ones showed up yesterday but haven't heard anything about the aluminum ones. I'm gonna check my PayPal to see if they took my money. Btw, the plastic ones are very sturdy. I may just use them if something went wrong with the order for metal ones.
