that's what I'm saying, frame wouldn't have been on the ground if you had weight on the rear, you could just carry your 500 around not sure it would be great for mileage but when you do get stuck youd have that
Yeah no, I’m not carrying the P5 around all the time for the occasional event of being stuck. The tractor did the trick, barely, but it worked. But I’ll wait for a front locker and in the meantime be considering a winch.

I’ve owned all of them, there is no best, if there was, that’s all people would buy. That is very subjective.

You probably want rain to pack that ground down.
:)

Yes and no, the rain means I have to stay off of it. It did begin raining at 3:00 PMMT. So I did get 6 hours in before I had to leave to not do damage to the road. A couple days of sun after it rains is the best time to pack it.

Now that you found a soft spot, do you have rocks, rocks can be your friend?

I should have done a 1 foot cut added 10 inches of shot rock and toped off with SP2 on our drive way, but it's not a 1/2 mile long!

SP2 is great s***, wish they had it out here.

Anyway, the road will be graveled ultimately but this is all proper timing in the course of road building. And yeah, it’s going to be in the neighborhood of 10K so I don’t want to get it on the road too soon. As long as the tires are still leaving ruts more than an inch deep, I can’t put rock on it.

There are two spots on my drive that I am going to have to have a variation of shot rock on it before I’m finished fine tuning the road and then bringing in gravel.

What kind of gravel you have access to?

Base coarse, which is a mix of very small gravel, clay and sand, and a variation of SP2 but just not as good.

Round 2 just rolling in. The first rogue storm narrowly missed us. This one looks like its gonna centerpunch us. Sitting on the covered back deck enjoying the lightning show as it approaches.View attachment 123836
What direction is that? Ours is building in the NW and moving in, it's been humid all day with a SE wind.
