Hydroelectric generator is on opposite side of the river from lock and dam 13 at Barling. Couldn't get into the hardest hit areas but there are a lot of homes and businesses with anywhere from 3-8 feet of water inside. The first pic is the Hwy 59 bridge. After tonight it will be the last bridge open to get to Fort Smith but I wouldn't be surprised if it's closed by morning too. If that happens all access to Fort Smith from the west, north, and east, will be cut off. Oklahoma is releasing more water to save what they can. Add to that an additional 2-4 inches of rain by thursday. Might see a big boat loading animals two by two pretty soon at this rate.
