Haha, we know what Smitty said about you picking up cans.
My buddy brought a thermostat to my garage that plugs into the wall (or an extension cord so you can put the thermostat closer to your work area for better control of the temp where you are actually working) and then the torpedo heater plugs into it. It worked like a champ. No idea what brand it was or anything about it, but it might be something worth looking into being that you will be using it quite a bit in the short term.
