This is Colorado and the news is acting like it's the end of times. SMH

Had a nice dry weekend. Temps in the low 90s. Cleaned out the pool and mowed our 5 acres. Painted to porch doors. Grilled a couple of steaks. Life is good.

Cool nights, hot days. Pool cooled down to 73 so heating it up a bit for an afternoon float.

massive windstorm for us over the last 2 days.high pressure front is pushing a low through the area so now we're looking at some really hot 2 weeks.i'm looking forward to the lake freezing over and some snow.ski's and snowshoes and pioneer tracks will be out in a few more weeks.almost froze overnight last night.until then we're spending the days fishing and stocking up to smoke a few pounds of fish.

How deep are you fishing for the Lakers? What is a Kokanee? I have caught a few Burbots on Leaches?

lakers anywhere up to around 100 ft.kokanee are landlocked sockeye salmon.burbot is a bottom dweller and great ice fishing tablefare.i mostly jig for them and almost anything will work.
