Almost everyone in Cape Breton has a wood fired cook stove. My old buddy Neil , would sit by his stove in his rocker, 120 degrees in there. Most people when I was younger didn’t have an electric range, and we’d walk down to BEATON’s in summer. 100 degrees outside and 140 degrees inside, but always had bread or rolls baking. I still remember that smell.Yep just built a fire in the little stove in the kitchen.
