HA! Bigger is always the next step, got to be more persistent with the smaller tractors.
Yes Sir!
I downsized from a 60 hp and a 43hp both mid 90's Fords with loaders so it was a big change but I went to a hydrostatic drive which steals power more than I realized before I bought it but we also dropped from 40 to 20 to 10 to 2 acres so it's enough but barely some times. I made attachments that allowed me to build my shop, hanger and house with the little tractor and backhoe. Still regret not having more power sometimes...but I built a 6' snow blower that goes on the QD loader and I seldom shovel snow.

I live on a private airport made up of 42 residences and about 60 acres of "common" land that belongs to the corporation and the total area is over 700 acres counting runway and taxi ways and a fair amount of wild land adjacent some is private and some in USFS/BLM land. All of us with equipment do work as needed by neighbors. My 3 year old tractor has almost 700 hrs on it and the majority of that is work done off my property. Brandon's diesel fuel prices are not helping and I bent my backhoe pulling a tree stump for a neighbor...so...sometimes I wish I didn't have a tractor but I enjoy helping folks and then there is the macho feeling you get blowing 2 feet of snow 50 or 60 feet....and...burying a neighbor's truck just for fun...never get too old to have fun!!!

Sure would be nice if fall rolled in with cooler weather around 1st of September. And stay that way. As of now they are calling for cool fronts every week or so. September is not far off. But still a long way to September 22nd.

It's nice you got a nice rain. I only got dark last night...but it's lasting longer into the early morning....no more shooting the bow at 0400.
Hey Caper...is it true the PM is pushing euthanasia for people with hearing loss....I knew there was a reason for me to stay down South.

August has been crazy wet and cool, seems as July and August traded weather. The end of August is heating back up, but not bad, mid 90's. My yard is out of control, resorted to using the new to me tractor and brush hog. Hey @Caper just ordered a Puller Bear tree puller from BC, your neck of the woods. Have a good day all!

Agree with that...hoping September doesn't swap places with November.

Last night we got a "nice thunderstorm"...meaning lots of thunder/lightning and tons of rain but no dry lightning that could start a fire.

I never had much luck using a bush hog to cut grass in pastures. Swing blades just seem to push the grass out of the way and maybe cut the seed tops. Good luck!!
