Once in a while we just have to stand back in awe of our government.

The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever - to 46 million people.

Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Dept. of Interior, asks us to "Please Do Not Feed the Animals." Their stated reason for the policy is because "the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."

Thus ends today's lesson with irony.

66F with 35H headed for mid to upper 80's and 90F Monday. It's August...why ain't it hotter? I fear this will be a cold Winter paying Brandon prices for propane. I do have a supply of 95 cent off road diesel to push snow with.

We got a good 1/2 inch probably. Cooled us down a lot. We were around 92 Hdx about 104. Chances most of work week.

We just had a nice 30 minute rain, went from 95 to 72 in that brief rain shower.
