We had a lot of clean up today but feel lucky. Son was pretty much ground zero and looks like a war zone in his area.
How’d he make out, is he and family ok ?

He is ok but a little shaken. No power since Wednesday around noon. House is pretty damaged. some houses in neighbor just gone ect
It’s good he’s ok. We had damage up here too. Doesn’t look as bad as he got it. But we still have a lot of people without power still. We had a lot of trees hitting houses damage. And houses gone from storm surge.
We’ll get through it and so will you guys but it really sucks.
Our power corp is replacing 1000 poles a week. We have crews from Connecticut even. Crews from everywhere, I think because we send our crews south when you guys get a hit. Probably not this time.

Hello, just got power back and internet. Neighbor on South side 70' tree broke at base block road for a day. Just missed power pole and neighbors fence. Neighbor on North side had 2 trees brake in half limbs and trunk are hung up in trees ,but no house damage. Praise God!!!
Yup it’s all hit or miss, lots of homes got a hit up here in Cape Breton. Too many old giant maples and oaks, people think they look great until this happens and they knock out power for a lot of people. There’s a row of probably 50 power poles that went down because of trees breaking on them. It’s incredible. How’s everyone around you, did people make out ok ?

I said to my wife if I wasn’t retired, I could make a lot of money cutting trees. I cut for a couple years , years ago. I’ve helped friends up here but that’s it. Getting too old, Have a new 250 Stihl chainsaw

Water temps drop 15 degrees that should end any major hurricane. It really stirred up the Gulf water.
