Got caught up in this thread, and MAN I LOVE those Cool temps y'all been posting!! We had a nice cool spell for our bow opener first weekend in Oct... Took my grandsons to South Texas and they both got a doe each... Was in the 60's down south and 50's back here in SE Texas (north of the Houston area). But now it's high 80's to 90's again in the afternoons... Gonna be planting the Fall garden this weekend!!

Sitting outside by the fire. It’s about 40 tonight. Frost last night. Moose season is open here. Deer for Blackpowder and bow. Saw a giant moose track just up from the camp.
crossed yesterday morning, and picture was supper time. That’s my size 13 shoe. Haha

Going to Alberta in November, they also have 2 moose tags.

38* This morning. Saw a truck flop yesterday day taking the back route down by the quarry, hadn't rained in 39 days, hundreds of trucks travel that road a day and with a drip or two the road gets really slick after a rain. I was the second vehicle there, I stop get out to check on the driver, first vehicle driver had already got the trucks driver in his truck settling down, good thing there was a guard rail or he would have gone for a wild ride.
