Well its off again. We got stove going again. Its a big stove. So far it is holding to about 64 in house.

I'm having trouble with quietness in house while trying sleep.

It’s -25 feels like -35 here at 6:45 am. That’s C but getting close to same temperature. -40 is equal. Deck is banging from frost

Ice, sleet and snow are on a fast retreat, got up to 48* and full sun today, took it awhile to get there but I like the results!

This cold is going to stink around till Sunday but then back above freezing
Thank god. But when I was a kid we had this cold every year, a lot.
now we get two days and the news is saying stay inside extreme cold warning. Haha

What's deck banging in the winter? I could see it in the summer.

754 hours and no problems until there was. I'm getting significant "jerking" from the hydralics on the 3 pt. Dealer mechs don't have a clue...bring it in and we'll take a look at it. $350 to pick it up and $135/hr looking. Never had a tractor I coulsn't fix but this one has electronic codes like cars, etc and they don't loan out their code reader. So, yes it's done well until now.

This is the first tractor I've owned with real hydraulics, would the hydraulic filter being stopped up cause the jerking?

My kubota has a hydraulic fluid flow adjustment knob (speed control valve for the 3 point hitch movement). If yours has such maybe cycle the adjustment to full flow rate in case the system is clogged??

The frost when it’s this cold makes the deck contract and when you step on it, it goes bang. Same as ice going bang with cracks when it’s cold. Back to normal tomorrow.

Its been above freezing for a while, except for just last night (24 degrees). Woken up at 5 AM by Fire Dept. needing access thru my property for a boat deployment to assist the Police retrieving an injured criminal in the woods after a foot chase. Perp picked a bad night to run and try to cross a creek. .

This is in my manual, but the manual is for DK4510 through DK5510.

Yes, two different hydraulic system filters.

Hit miss on electricity. On right now. Stove kept it about 64 in house until power come back on about 10:30. It has been on a off for about 48 hrs. Still seeing power trucks in surrounding area. Hopefully they get go home soon.

Only thing worse than losing power is losing water, if you have a well double whammy.

Went by and checked on my dad. He is still out of power. Had a big limb fall and yanked his meter off the house. He stole a heater out of the hunting house. So at least he has heat. Probably won't get power till Monday.
