I shopped around all over the state. For a 2019 I got the best deal at Sport Durst. They have a Green R left. For 2020 Sport Cycles seemed the best. Capital wasnt even close on the 2020's

Okay - Just got done requesting quotes for imminent purchase of the base X4 next week. Here is the dirt:

Freedom Powersports (Texas) = $21,700 (f*** freedom...waste of a lunch break)
Jones Powersports (Oklahoma) = $19,999
Abernathy (Tennessee) = $19,995
Fort Worth Motorsports (Texas) = $19,700
Ramey (Mississippi) = $19,050

These are OTD prices including all doc fees etc, but exclude state sales tax. I excluded state sales tax because it varies from state to state. My state (Texas) charges 8.25 percent which adds another $1,600.00. I could forgo paying sales tax if I buy out of state and just keep the MSO and never title it. Titles are not required in Texas since you can't street them anyways, but it would need a title to trade it in and most individual buyers want a title if they buy it. I'll probably title it, so I expect to pay taxes.

All things considered, I think I'm going local to Fort Worth Motorsports. I bought my two Pioneer 500s from them and they got me a good deal on those too. You have to come to the table with proof of a better deal, though - which is fair enough. Bradley (owner/salesman) is a competitive individual. He won't give you an easy deal, but he also hates to be beat. I was blown away by Ramey's price. For $650, I'll buy local and save the 16 hour round trip drive and hotel costs.

Jamesh,

I got my 2019 Talon X from Wise Powersports in Decatur for $18000 with a Honda metal roof and a few bags. This is without taxes but all the other fee's. They had 2 4seaters.

I was at the dealer this weekend and was planning to complete a purchase. After the test drive, I told them the deal I was looking for. When the sale manager came back, there was nearly $2,500 in fees applied to the final price. This included destination charges, build fees, and dealer fees. They told me that there is nothing they can do about the destination and build fees. The 2019 Talon 1000R was listed at $18,600 plus all those fees. I was able to talk them down to $20k OTD + local taxes. I called Abernathy’s this morning, and they can do $18k OTD + local taxes. At Abernathy’s I was told they don’t change all those destination and prep fees. Looks like I can save $2k by making the trip (about 12 hours away).

What is everyone else’s experience with those fees?

Abernathys price is all in, except a small local city tax...when I bought a rzr there years ago, the price was exactly what they quoted me and then the city tax was like $65 or something like that. They don’t do a bait and switch on you

Where in FL are you? I bought my X @ Halls powersports eastern shore in Daphne AL (Just east of mobile) for a bit over $18K OTD. Think I put $250 down over the phone to hold it, and the rest was like 18300 or so. Still had an X in stock. They also had 2 R's for 1000 more. Still doing 72mon @ 3.99% too....

Dealer fees are complete BS. Padding their profits to make up overhead. Especially ones with super new/nice showrooms. The smaller the dealer (less units they sell) the more the mark-ups. That is unless they own the building and have little to no overhead. I've found FL dealers are THE WORST to buy from.

Near Jacksonville. Seems like I will have to go out of state to find the deal I want.

Bought a new '19 model Talon X in Covington, LA on Jan 4, 2019 for $15,899 ($100 less than Abernathy and only 3 hour drive instead of 10). No freight or setup fee. I'm happy! At $20k, i was not that interested in Talons.

Drove to Abernathy twice in 2016 for closeout deals on ACE 900 SP for my daughters. Great dealership too. If not for Covington, I was going back to Abernathy for Talon.

Just got quoted 18900 for an "r" OTD including tax, destination, and dealer fees for a 2019 in southwest Ohio. Listed clearance price at 16,499. Still a little steep. I'd like to be OTD at 17k for a 19. Wishful thinking I know!

Ramey Powersports in MS had three 2019 green R's listed for $16,049 OTD no sales tax (if out of state) over the weekend.
