That’s very true... if he’s determined it’s not going to be worth a s*** after!
And bear proof is only relevant if you're confident enough to leave your cooler sitting un attended in a National park campground. I guess you could cable lock it to something.....

I have a Yeti 105 and 35. Both purchased prior to the 2nd A flap. Also bought Yeti because I was about to do a 4 day trip & didn't have time to order one.. had to buy in town. They both work well.

Check out the Cabelas brand coolers if they are close to you. They can tie down and still open the lid. They guarantee them forever like many other companies. I’ll bought them because it was triple digits cheaper compared to the yeti sitting next to it. I’ve been happy with them for two years now. My brother has some pelican coolers and I think they are very fine as well.

Cabelas 60...

Cabelas 25. Not a bad little cooler but it does not have a drain so it needs to be turned over or siphoned if you want to get the water out.

I have yeti, grizzly and Engle I purchased before rtic came out. I would buy the rtic, it’s not quite as “polished” as the other brands but it does the same thing for a lot less money

I have two Orcas. A tan 75qt and and a grey 65qt from Menards that was a super deal. At the time when I chose them they were ice retention champs. Although I may try to apply white paint for plastics as the grey one can fry eggs in the sun.

I have a Canyon Pro Cube, since discontinued. It's my rowing seat in my river jet skiff. Small company, great coolers. For packing elk and just general use, the Coleman Extremes seem to do nearly as well as the designers brands for 1/5 the money. I don't feel insecure about cooler logos.

Yeti ... I've had 1 week of ice cube water when not in direct sun. That said, I admit, I got weak at the REI store when the demo started by the salesperson (I think they are WAY overpriced. ;-). Lots of great roto-milled styles if durability and ice length is key. Very much like the built-in tie-down loops making it and easy add to Lil' Red or off for something else.

My Grizzly cooler got stolen last weekend. What cooler does everyone like and why?
I have two yeti coolers, a 35 and a 75. They’ve both been great, the 75 has been replaced three times with no hassle from them so I’ve been impressed with their warranty team so far. My uncle has a couple of pelicans that he swears by and my neighbor has an orca. There are plenty of coolers that are a little better than the yeti in my opinion but they stand by their product so I keep buying them.

I've got a Yeti, it'll hold a 30 pack and lunch easy, I quit using it and went to a smaller cooler, that way I can't take that much beer! HA!

I refuse to buy Yeti because of their anti 2A stance.
I have a couple of Rtic coolers that I bought during one of their 50% off sales. I really like the cooler but I probably wouldn’t buy another because I’m not 100% sure that Rtic isn’t owned by Yeti.
RTIC is owned by the guy who started Yeti, he sold Yeti and started a new company. I have one of the RTIC 60s, seems like a good cooler, havent used it much. Also have a Yeti that I got for free with travel points, no way in hell I'd spend my $$ on one.

Yeah, about that....

That's awesome, honestly the first I'd heard about the Yeti/NRA/2A dust up..... my comment was more based at the crazy prices Yeti has on their stuff. I bought the RTIC 60 for about a third of what MSRP is on the Yeti 20 I got for free.

I’m just an honest guy, love my yeti but the markup is substantial I’m sure.
