Got radio installed today. Think I going to like it. Little unit draws 4 amps DC in transmission. I’ve got and image file if anyone wants it. Easy to program with supplied software and cable. Works good with windows 10.

What/ how did you end up setting up your antenna? I am still working that part out since I want to keep away from the Whips. My first plan failed lol

My menu under basic has Chinese grayed out. The programming software is in English. Look at the picture above. The Chinese symbol is still on the screen.

Antenna mounted rear role bar passenger side upside down. Testing. I am receiving from two different weather stations on low band over 25 miles away. Handheld doesn’t receive them.

i’ll go look at my program -I know mine says menu there I believe ( on the radio screen)

Also the repeater freq you list in your file - assuming those are the local ham repeaters

Yes the repeaters are Cross Mountain, Windrock, and one east of Royal Blue.

I tried to find usable repeaters on the Overland trip but the list I found had no functional repeaters.
