Worst gas mileage truck you've owned?

I've thought about it. The ramps would have to be 12 - 15 feet long. Thinking about rigging up a hydraulic lift. It has a PTO driven hydraulic pump that operates the winch.

Just buy a damn lift... you deserve it!!

I have an '08 Escalade I bought because of the 6.2. Great power, but putting around town and idle time while waiting for kids I usually average about 11.5mpg. It will get up to 15 or 16 mpg on trips.

My motorhome (GMC VanDura van front with a 400 chev) gets a solid 7 with or without the Pioneer on the trailer behind it.

72 Suburban ambulance with a 402 BB. I couldn't keep my foot out of it, I got 4mpg.

It also holds the record for the shortest period I've owned a vehicle.

I had a 77 Ford 250 tall boy, got 10 mpg empty, 10 mpg pulling a trailer, 10 up hill 10 down hill, seldom more seldom less. 351 Cleveland then replace with with a 400, go 11 no matter what but more power.

2012 Duramax fully deleted with 120 hp tune was the best at 24-25 mpg.

2004 8.1 gasser gets 7-8 mpg.

2021 F250 6.7L turbo diesel with the HD tow package. Averaging 15.4 mpg but it pulls like a son of a gun

Worst was my 2019 Ford F-250 with the 6.2 gasser at an avg of 11.9mpg, best is my current 2021 GMC 1500 with the 3.0 duramax, mixed driving and it still gets 25mpg.

worst was my 84 k30 crew cab long box dually 454. fun as hell at 16 but gas was 4$ and i put every paycheck into that gas tank.
best was my 85 k10 with the 6.2 diesel i averaged about 25 mpg no matter what. zero power but nice ride. my 19 Silverado gets 18.5 over the 23k i have on it now and highway cruising is 20-23

Worst was my 1994 Chevy K2500 with 454, 8-10 towing or with camper, 12-15 empty on the highway. Best is my 2019 3/4 ton GMC duramax, averages about 23 mpg, just got a little over 36 for a period coming downhill from Carson City.

1982 Chevy 3/4t, 400sb, manual trans on 40" Swampers, it got 4mpg everywhere it went. Good thing gas was cheap then @ $0.89/gal, problem was I made less than $8/hr then too

88' F250 4x4 351v8 4.10 gears 5 speed with creeper. That thing was a gasaholic. Best I got was 8 mpg with no ac on and downhill. But she pulled like a raped ape!
