I've got 3 ram mounts along the rops - one on drivers side for me, one on the passenger handle for the wife, and one along the top for an old phone used for gps and the vibration is very minimal. My wife did some recording at Mulberry and it turned out pretty good with only a tiny bit of vibrating if we were stopped or just barely moving. I've been curious if the weight of a tablet would increase it much, so looking forward to hearing your results.
I Saw the set up for your wife's phone and thought that would be great for video on the phone. I actually meant to ask what ROPS mount you were using.

When I put my tablet in mine I could rotate the device.. NOT where the ball clamps but where the slack of the x grip arms go back into that little spring mechanism. It would rotate 70* clock or counter clockwise from centered.
Yea that bugs me too

The new holder is made for a Samsung Tab a with an otter box. This should take care of it.
You can put your device in my clamp and see if you like it. I dont recall much rotation with my ipad, or not enough to bother me.

Mine shook too much and I couldn’t read it so I welded a mount that clamps to the ROPS.

I am going trying a ram claw mount to the side ROPS - extending the tablet out in front of me - hopefully mounting to the ROPS will cut down on the vibration... the ram mount on my switch plate vibrates like crazy with the phone so I hardly even use anymore...

I have this setup already. I’ll let you know soon.

So i had a difficult time finding a case I liked for my tablet.. very few waterproof options! I ended up ordering some clear vinyl material, hot gluing the openings and gorilla taping he holes on the device. This is an otter box defender. The back opening where he camera is.. I cut a piece of plastic and hot glued it inside the case. Should be fairly water resistant and dust tight. If anyone needs some of the adhesive backed vinyl material I put on the screen protector holes I’ve got a 12”x12’ roll.

Sorry I have run the set up on the flats of Rush springs just have not given it a good go on a rough all day trail ride. Additionally My ram suction cup worked as well but prefer the clamp and don’t totally trust the suction cup.

If you want simple... Maplets is the app for positioning but it will not track you.

I recommend maplets for pretty much anyone new or beginning. you can pretty much explore the whole park on your own!

Lot of guys just went to lifetime maps. I think that's what it was I just found an Android app called custom maps if you have the printed map that is scale for where you want to ride of all the trails like Rush springs you take it as a screenshot or picture of and overlay it into their app using two points to a line It and then it's supposed to show you where you're at on that map but it doesn't track you as far as where you've been. I haven't got a chance to try it out but works off line might next week end a rush .

Another one I want to try is the UTV trails you download the map online and then it's there for offline use as far as Google map Go's and it tracks you here's a screenshot of the two iconsD8bf018594052fff0895f9dcbef2966e

29" what width? When I was running 28" Motoclaws on 3.5 offset wheel I could rub if I was at full compression turning. now that hardly ever happened so I was not concerned about it. 29" I would expect some rubbing if true 29". By spacer @Cuoutdoors may be speaking of a shock spacer not a wheel spacer. What's the offset of the wheels you are getting or using?
Right now, I have stock wheels. I was going to look into changing the offset to move them out am inch. As far as width, I was going to stay stock but I haven't looked at my tires/wheels to see what stock is....maybe Go slightly narrows if I widen the stance. I have a 16 deluxe so it has the alum wheels.

Pretty sure they're a 5-2 offset
