29" what width? When I was running 28" Motoclaws on 3.5 offset wheel I could rub if I was at full compression turning. now that hardly ever happened so I was not concerned about it. 29" I would expect some rubbing if true 29". By spacer @Cuoutdoors may be speaking of a shock spacer not a wheel spacer. What's the offset of the wheels you are getting or using? That was my next question, can I go to 29's with stock suspension and not have any rubbing when turning? You answered that, so thank you. What if I do offset out an inch, will they clear then? Same question, what if I only go to 28's
with all these radios and electronic maps people are going to be fighting to lead groups .... Heck it is fight now to fix your own machine if something happens to it...View attachment 71571 View attachment 71572 I have a feeling these lifetime trail maps are going to be very handy next week.
Sweet setupView attachment 71571 View attachment 71572 I have a feeling these lifetime trail maps are going to be very handy next week.
It has quite a bit of vibration but you can still see the screen. Unless it is fixed mounted on a solid part it's going to vibrate some.with all these radios and electronic maps people are going to be fighting to lead groups .... Nice set up by the way - like where the ram mount is placed - how does that work for vibration of the tablet
Just grunt growl and hammer down.Im 3" wider and it's a goatI admire your optimism.

I have a piece of ram track mounted in the same spot. Using my phone it vibrates a bit, using my ipad mini it shakes like Micheal J fox. Might have something to do with the weight. I have a couple other pieces mounted on the track as well.with all these radios and electronic maps people are going to be fighting to lead groups .... I am going trying a ram claw mount to the side ROPS - extending the tablet out in front of me - hopefully mounting to the ROPS will cut down on the vibration... the ram mount on my switch plate vibrates like crazy with the phone so I hardly even use anymore...I have a piece of ram track mounted in the same spot. When I put my tablet in mine I could rotate the device.. NOT where the ball clamps but where the slack of the x grip arms go back into that little spring mechanism. It would rotate 70* clock or counter clockwise from centered.I don’t recall my x mount rotating.
My phone will do the.same thing in mineWhen I put my tablet in mine I could rotate the device.. NOT where the ball clamps but where the slack of the x grip arms go back into that little spring mechanism. It would rotate 70* clock or counter clockwise from centered.
I've got 3 ram mounts along the rops - one on drivers side for me, one on the passenger handle for the wife, and one along the top for an old phone used for gps and the vibration is very minimal. My wife did some recording at Mulberry and it turned out pretty good with only a tiny bit of vibrating if we were stopped or just barely moving. I've been curious if the weight of a tablet would increase it much, so looking forward to hearing your results.I am going trying a ram claw mount to the side ROPS - extending the tablet out in front of me - hopefully mounting to the ROPS will cut down on the vibration... the ram mount on my switch plate vibrates like crazy with the phone so I hardly even use anymore...
Just messed with mine. I found the degree of free rotation is related to how much you spread the mount to hold your device. When I put my tablet in mine I could rotate the device..
