I'd love to stick a Cummins in a crew cab dent side. 79 square light
Square lights are awesome as well. Those are just beefy built trucks

Looking good. Wish I had time for a cool project like this. Bet you're having a blast. Finally got all the replacement steel welded in, cut out the rotten chunks of cross member, decided to just leave what was still solid. A little extra support won't hurt. Time to start wire wheeling and designing a rear bumper.

I would be if I had an unlimited budget and spare time lol.Looking good. Wish I had time for a cool project like this. Bet you're having a blast.
I've got a gooseneck ball ready to go on it. Its got a solid plate welded to the frame with a hole for a ball. I wish it didn't so I could do a hide a ball! How soon are you planning on completing it? just FYI I happen to have a B&W Hide-A-Ball hitch laying in my shop!
That's the screws that were in it. Man they are a b**** when they rust out though.also when you go to bolt down the deck boards, use trailer deck screws, similar to the photo below.View attachment 45342 you have to predrill but they are Torx head counter sunk and work fantastic.
Should be done in a week or two.How soon are you planning on completing it? just FYI I happen to have a B&W Hide-A-Ball hitch laying in my shop!
Yep justThat's the screws that were in it. Man they are a b**** when they rust out though.
The plate is welded? That sucks, should never weld to a truck frame. Your work looks good so far.I've got a gooseneck ball ready to go on it. Its got a solid plate welded to the frame with a hole for a ball. I wish it didn't so I could do a hide a ball!
I know your done now but, I've found when removing the old boards with this type of screw you cut between the cross members with a skill saw and beat the boards with a sledge to snap the screws. Because they never come out when trying to remove them. That's the screws that were in it. Man they are a b**** when they rust out though.
There hardened so there brittle. I normaly use a cutoff wheel on the ones that dont come out.I know your done now but, I've found when removing the old boards with this type of screw you cut between the cross members with a skill saw and beat the boards with a sledge to snap the screws.
