Update time. Maxxis contacted me early last week and informed me that they were covering the tires under warranty. Received the tires on Friday. Very happy with their customer support.

While I was unboxing my new bighorns I noticed that they had sent 6 ply instead of the OE 4 ply. Not only did they replace them I also got an upgrade.

While I was unboxing my new bighorns I noticed that they had sent 6 ply instead of the OE 4 ply. Not only did they replace them I also got an upgrade.

What really sucks is the OE should be the 6 ply. Corporate orders thousands of the 4 ply for a reduced price I am sure. To my knowledge, the 2.0 available to the aftermarket are all 6 ply.

When we used to Race UROC, MAXXIS was our tire sponsor. They always treated us very well.
