don't know personally, I don't ride gravel or roads, some of the reviews on rocky mountain and those say they are fine I can imagine it would be, is a fairly heavy tire. obviously not going to be like a bighorn or dot radial tire but those get stuck all the time around here and they are worth it

Here are some pics of the cracks. This is driver rear. I replaced passenger rear about a month ago for same condition. Now the 3 originals have cracks.

i would guess it would be combination of those being a really hard tire and those are the brittle areas and too much air. would try 8 to ten psi at most. i mostly look at the bulge when i get new tires, got to have some bulge on the sides to ride decent as well as puncture resistance. can also monitor the tread if you get it dirty all the tread blocks should be well covered if the outer one dont its too much air. most radials are 3-5 less than the oem bias rating is what i end up at

I kept them between 12 and 14 psi. That’s what the manual says and I noticed that with lower psi it would feel loose at higher speeds.

being a hard radial its not going to be anything like what the manual says, original bias balloons need a ton of air to be stiff. anytime you have after market tires you have to play with the pressures to make a call

That’s the thing. The Big horns come standard on the LE model.

hard to believe they would recommend the same for bias on mine and big horns, but regardless, I always disregard what they say any way. you have to have some bulge or you will have problems with traction, flats and cracks

Update time. Maxxis OE warranty dept has been in touch. The quality engineers want to physically look at the tires. Have to ship them off to them so my ride will be on blocks for awhile.

That's crazy they would expect you to put your ride on blocks, esp this time of year! Step up and replace them and ask for the old ones back if you need to geeze
