Surprisingly under the Amsoil website even though they list the Honda 1000 it shows no "recommended lubricants"???

Scary...

They make an ATV but also a UTV full synthetic. But have heard that many many many use the Amsoil wet clutch motorcycle Oil

Wow!!! Really? Being delivered in less than an hour and I just ordered Amsoil and was going to get a filter wrench to be ahead of the game. Don't have a manual yet but I will very soon. Absolutely shocked at your response but I believe you

I think it was a 10mm for the 3 cover bolts. Just run the recommended Honda oil and there's no questions.

Well you two guys are absolutely confusing the heck out of me then. Because I have read more articles that I can count that absolutely promote synthetic oil,
most Amsoil, in the 1000?

I'm just going to write this off to everybody has their own preference. Me? I am a synthetic man :)

It's up to you to determine what you want. It is true that everyone has their own preferences.

The only reason I recommend staying with Honda oil, is because this DCT transmission is new to the UTV market. Remember that those clutches are wet clutch and submersed in the oil. You may not want it to be too slick. For me, I will continue to use Honda oil just in case I have any issues, the dealership won't question what oil I use.

This is the Amsoil I am running in mine!! Runs and shifts smooth as butter for me!
Yeah I ordered the same. Just waiting to reach first oil change. I only have 85 miles on mine so far. Run amsoil in everything I got including my 03 rancher.

Feel free to post anywhere you'd like! I just got an email from my Amsoil representative. He said UTV all the way it's the best for Pioneer vs motorcycle.

That doesn't make any sense. Every other UTV on the market has a split engine/trans/clutch, so the oil would basically be the same as a car. The Pioneer has a single engine case for the engine and trans (plus a little case for the subtrans) and they share oil, which I would assume would mean that the oil needs to be the kind that works with clutches...
