The Brand name is Axe Mate.

Under the drivers side of the seat is where the fan controller is located. If you wire an on/off toggle switch from the hot wire on the controller to the fan wire, when you turn the toggle switch on it bypasses the auto fan switch and manually turns the fan on. If the toggle switch is off the auto fan switch will still turn the fan on at the programmed temperature. I've had this on my 2017 1000-5 for 4 years and still works fine.

Did the pcm ever set any codes after installing the toggle switch?
