Speaking as a Mopar guy...the Daimler era stuff was bad. I'm amazed to hear people talk of how even they couldn't "save Chrysler". There was never any intent to save. They just whored out the company to cheaper an cheaper parts and sold off the carcass. Ball-joints and blend doors are normal. The dash cracks in the moonlight.
Even the PT cruiser has a notably nicer interior before D-C. Just thankful they are still around.

Drove all 3 Ford was 11 grand more. For nothing. Then it was between ram and GMC for me price was the same. Chose ram for the name on the motor. No looking back now. Love it the more I drive it. 28,000 miles still feels new but better.

Your looking at a 1500 ecodiesel. Yes they can even do better than that, the 2500 don't list mileage. I did get almost 22 driving from wi. To Florida at 77mph. Not towing. With a 20' car hauler with 2 sxs I'm usually around 12mpg from wi to Tennessee. Camper is about the same at 72-75,

Actually I saw it in Dodges promotional video, 27 hwy and 20 City, but honestly I’ll have to watch it again, perhaps it was the eco-diesel they were referring to. I certainly do not want that.

Lol, I am, cleaning out my truck now. Sorry, but at 65-70K, it’s not an easy decision and that’s more than I paid for my first three houses, all of which appreciated. I owe 16K on my trade in, just hoping I’m not upside down.

Well, that beats my gas burner which does 9-10 mpg. Also means it’s about the same as the Ford.

You are going to probably want a one ton depending on your PIN weight. Ram has a 1 ton with auto leveling suspension and it's awesome

Yep my ram is rated for 18,000lbs. But the payload on these crewcab short box diesels is around 2200lbs. That's not much.

All 2500 have a 10,000lbs gvwr. You get what's leftover after you subtract the weight of the truck for fuel,cargo, and passengers . In Wisconsin I don't have to worry much but some places like California you could be. Then you have to think liability if your overloaded and crash.
