P1000m5 Isolator and dual battery

Anyone have a good video or step-by-step directions about how to set up the whole dual battery system including isolator, panels, second battery, And accessories? I found some good ones earlier in the summer And of course when I am ready to do some installing I can’t find them. Thank you.

There is a few on the ol YouTube.
I think most people over think it and it becomes a bitter tasks. Install the battery and isolator first. Then tackle the accessories.

I may replace my Optima with (2) of these so I have the AH capacity, need to see how the compare at higher Amp draws not just 1amp.

This is what I used, I can run the sound bar at dry camp for hours on it. 35AH deep cycle.

I didnt see that one when i ordered mine..does it fit the 2nd battery box ok?

I went with this one.

It has worked well, but the mighty max seems intriguing by specs and price. I have been impressed with the Tusk brand. They seem to make quality stuff at a much lower price than OEM. I now have a battery, snow plow, and a glass windshield from them. Couldn’t be more satisfied with all three.

I have an Odeyssey battery in the 3 seater, but I purchased a cheap power sports battery at Walmart for the 5seater. Was like 40 bucks. Been in it for over a year. No issues.

Well Glock.....that’s a good question. I’m not sure now that you mention that because I’ve done the dual battery mod on both my 500 and 1000-3. So when I’m in the same location as my 1000-3 this weekend, I’ll check to see which one I used in it. But I definitely used that battery in one of them.

Will this will work in the second battery slot? Regular Lead acid shouldnt be mounted on the side (they can spill) from my understanding. which is why the mighty max and odyssey are good choices (they are AGM and Sealed lead acid so they wont leak)

When I called Tru Isolator they told me they designed for the Odyssey battery, there pricy though!
