That is somewhat of the same thing...REGARDLESS of RACE larger cities tend to be more democrat.
It's the city folk mentality, they tend to be far less self sufficient.

I like food and well theres way more choices in the city, and most of my customers are in larger cities (imagine that I sell large public and private entities security systems).

We live about an hour from four "downtowns" and one is a large metro area. I am plenty happy not having a neighbor within 1000' and being further than that from the tiny dead end country road we live off of.

We just want to be left alone unless we invite you over.

For a portable shelter I thought maybe a 4 to 6 person ice fishing pop up insulated shelter might be good to have around they are pretty much made to take the cold and wind out on a frozen lake and use a propane heater if needed.

My vehicle of choice would be a 4WD armored bank truck or surplus military, diesel, manual trans, air starter, mechanical fuel shut off, auxiliary fuel tank, pneumatic powered diesel fuel pump with hose of course and "other" air tools, basically zero need of any electrical power to get it to start and move.That would most likely get me to my shack in the woods.

It’s been a long and often times frustrating search for a new home and none so far has been just right. I’m working within a finite budget, so I’m restricted in what I can afford. For a very long time, I have watched the slow strangulation of our freedoms and have always tried to work towards getting ready for the eventual calamity that’ll befall us all. The last stage was relocating to a safe haven far from the populations and all the chaos that’ll ensue from societal breakdown. I seriously felt like I needed some guidance and opened my ESV, and there in front of me was this; please start reading at chapeter 22: 1-4. It speaks volumes. Amazing!

If SHTF, a community of like minded people with diversified skills will be essential for survival. Appears this thread could start a prepper network? Just my thoughts on this topic.

Still working on my prepping skills/goods as it is never ending. My 9 year old daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and this definitely has me "very" concerned in regard to this topic. I am researching ways to preserve insulin. Trying to get a insulin stock pile is not easy either and it has short shelf life.

Jerusalem artichokes are a natural source of insulin. I also heard some time ago that they were developing an insulin that didn't require refrigeration.

That’s a shame. Of course there’s several causes and types of diabetes, and I don’t know if your daughters is pancreas function related, but if it is, there are dietary ways to improve pancreatic function.
