Anyone know what the difference is between the P1K front shocks and the P1K5 front shocks? They have different part numbers. I'm guessing the P1K5 is stiffer. I'm going to swap P1K shocks to my 700 and those are my options. Actually, I bought both, so I need to figure out what position to put them in. TIA

I would have thought the fronts were the same.. it’s the rear shock that are different.

I have seen all that and have purchased the sleeves from RB3. But as said, the part numbers for the P1K and the P1K5 front shocks is different, so I'm assuming it's the spring rate.
I don’t remember for sure but I think it’s the spring rate. I ran into this problem when I did mine, both sets came off P1K5D’s but one was older than the other and had a different front shock.

So, if those are the shocks that you had, would you put the heavier spring shock on back or front? Since the 700 is basically mid engine, it seems fairly well balanced front to back.

Put the heavier spring in the back for when you’re using the hitch.

in the back.
Also the front shocks are different on the 3 seater and 4 seater cause the back passengers dont sit directly over the rear tires. So the front needs a little more on it. If i was doing the swap . Id run the shocks for the equivalent machine. Might show better results.

The ride on my 700 was day and night after putting the 1000 shocks on. I recommend this upgrade to anyone with a 700-4.

Actually this is a pic of the actual shocks that I purchased. They look nearly identical to me. No extra coils, same length. IDK, it's weird.
On another note, are limit straps going to necessary with the 100 shocks on a 700? Because if they are, it's the first I've heard of it.

The first ones posted was a dual rate versus a single rate spring. These are just single rate springs with different spring rates.

For my setup id need limiter straps im running a stacked lift at 5 inches. For just the 1k shocks you shouldnt need limiter straps.

The pictures @Russ989 shared were stock fronts from @Smitty335 2016 1k5 and my 2018 1k5 that we sent him to do the swap. Somewhere along the way Honda changed the springs.

Probably 2017 isnt that when they changed to a dual rate on the 700?
