That's one house you don't sneak up on. It's like being invited to Hannibal Lecters for dinnerHe's on patrol for Al Qaeda!!
I'm betting looking for his next turkey/pig love triangle. He's on patrol for Al Qaeda!!
Just now noticed this reply. Can you elaborate? Cause I'm missing something here
The gearing was to low to get any consistency on the torque numbers. But you can tell the difference between the 2. Like I said when I drove joeys it was a lot more responsive that mine down low. Once we get the shifting issue and my programmer on, we'll go back and get better runs in. Main thing is the programmer definitely helps, a lot more than I thought it would. Sucks I've been staring at my programmer for a few weeks waiting to get a baseline on the dyno. I've got this to test when I get mine hooked up.

No, I'm fine. My son got married this past weekend and we had to fly to another state spend some time there and fly back. Got in 0130 eastern last night.Where is the @drfubar ? Must of fell of Marys ridge! Lets make sure @joeymt33 isnt peddling these power commanders on the side first!

Can't be any worse that trying to tune part throttle boost. If you don't have a balding problem at the start, you will at the end (if you ever get there). I've tried so many different formulas and percentages I lost track of them. I finally got it pretty decent right before I started losing interest in the car. She's still sitting under a tarp next to my shop. I'm gonna get back in it if I ever get a break from the p1k lol.Tuning an engine that's going to be in a drag car (I know not sXs) most guys are only concerned with WOT and idle because that's where it spends most of his time. An engine like the one in my Dart has to be tuned everywhere, it has to idle clean, it has to be clean at cruise and tuned for max power at WOT. A lot of race engines run the timing locked out at where it makes the most power where my engine has to have the timing has to be brought in later to prevent detonation when it starts to load some at cruise.

I started with nitrous on my bike. Easy and fairly inexpensive. Ran it for years til my back couldn't handle those 1.40 something 60 foots lol. This was my first turbo. Pieced the kit from scratch. I love it. Nothing like running with the big dogs with just 2 liters and still getting high 20s in gas mileage. It helps to step away from something for a little while.Understood, I've walked away from my Dart several times over the years. I'm considering doing a boosted (turbo) gen 3 Hemi for my next build. It'll be a big step for a dumb country boy going from no power adders and carburetors to boost and fuel injection.
I was thinking about that too. Ive read several places that guys are saying its just louder but no real power gains. Well if the machine is detuned and running lean from the factory, you wont see any gain at all. It would be interesting to see what the numbers are with a tuner and exhaust vs. a tuner on stock exhaust.1/1 that's all? The muffler should be free!
10lbs might be nice on a race bike with a midget driving, but I'm 200lbs and it ain't no race bike.
Unless there's some yuge gain to be had with a tuner it doesn't seem worth time or money.
Hey Joey. Do you have an update on the heat issue? I am seriously considering going with the setup you purchased along with the HMF exhaust.I can't wait for this summer to do some temperature readings between these two pioneers we have here. I'm really excited to be able to run a richer fuel ratio so this thing doesn't run so freaking hot!
I'd be curious to know what the stock fuel to air ratio is if anyone knows.
Who knows what other good things can come from letting this thing run at a little bit cooler temperature. It's a rather large investment and I was worried that there wouldn't be much results. But right out of the box I see a 15% increase in acceleration from 0 to 40. I was really happy to see the black marks that it left on the white concrete after installing the power commander!
So nobody has added to this in a while. I have been scouring the internet for people getting a little more out of these P1000's. Ever since I went with the Tusk Terrabite 28/10/14's on all four corners I have been looking to get back some lost power. It robbed me of a noticable amount. I now have the K&N filter and HMF exhaust that do nothing without the right tune. Does anyone offer a tune that takes intake and exhaust into account? I have never messed with mapping and would love to just buy a premade tune.
I bought it without the autotune. What it comes with really helps.I was under the impression that the auto tune was for people wanting to tinker with the power commanders base tune. Like I said I know nothing about tuning these types of machines. Grew up on dirt bikes with carbs. If I don't want to have to tinker, what will the auto tune do for me?
