Thanks guys - I hope it helps some people out.
@Code54, your excellent post has me thinking about placing an order. Sounds like no regrets? I am running 27 inch tires on 2017 on very slow and tight trails.
Update: ordered from Super ATV today, received discount from mentioning Hondasxs.com.

Installed EZ power steering today on 2017 P500. Only comment is that my instructions showed motor mounting opposite from earlier post picture. Flat motor housing went up, rounded shoulder side went down. Misleading as the mounting plate has a similar sized hole as the shoulder, but it would not fit (second pic). Also, my red and black power wires came out on the dash side, spoke to tech support, no problem. Other way definitely would not line up. First Pic is from instructions. Like @Code54 said, don't tighten bolts until everything in. Easy steering now.

How much was this kit? Big difference in steering or what?

$549 after mentioning Hondasxs.com for discount. Huge difference with the 27 inch tires and it was a larger power steering motor than I expected (good thing). FYI..Tapped into the white/black 12 v key hot lead from the four slot accessory plug for the small while wire, and already had the heavier main red power lead under the hood from the earlier winch install.

CAUTION..Lesson learned as I had to remove and reinstall the motor, ...leave these three 13 mm head bolts untouched. I first removed them for the mounting plate install on the opposite side, but later found other bolts in the box (10 mm heads). The 13 mm bolts seal the internals, as you can see a shaft inside. This is the side to face downward towards the rack and pinion. Interested if there was a change since @Code54 did his photos. FYI, update after a few days.. wife drove it and said why didn't I do this sooner!

Ps. Still fine one week later.

So no worries on electric output on the P5? Wont bother with it on my Polaris, not enough juice to run everything.

You just gotta keep bringing it up don't you Mudder?
I've considered putting one in and just keep forgetting about it and then...peer pressure! :D
It's a lot safer.

You guys are killing me, I had it in the cart last night. Tried to live chat with someone at SuperATV but it was after hours and no one was available. Wanted to negotiate price but...I'll try to forget about it again. o_O
