Well I came home today to the wifes wheels and snorkle waiting for me. I opened the snorkle box only to find that the top piece was missing! This f***ing s*** always happens to me! Its the whole damn reason I ordered the Warrior Snorkle is because the top piece that you run the vent lines through, and it wasnt in the box! I got it from sidebysidestuff.com I ordered it 2 fridays ago and Im already ticked off it has taken this long to get here, and when I open it the main piece is gone. I have already gotten ahold of them and the lady on the phone told me to send pictures of what came in the box, so I sent her pics. I will let yall know how that turns out. On a different note, the wheels look pretty good. I will get to it this weekend. Ok Im out! Yall be good.

The not so funny joke in my family is that if something comes in a box....there will always be something wrong or missing. It's happened soooo many times.

We will be at Hogwaller next Saturday also. I think we're getting there in the late afternoon mainly for doing a night ride that some members have been wanting to do.

I was planning on getting a lot done today but I had errands to run this morning. When I finally got going on busting my old 30s off of the wheels I had on my P5 to mount the tires on her new wheels, my wifes dad stopped by for me to weld together an aluminum cart that was like a giant puzzle of pre cut pieces that took forever lol. So I finally got the tires mounted and called it a day. I was planning on getting more done but oh well. I'll mess with it more tomorrow. Heres a few pics of after I got the tires mounted, and a whole pile of crap I still gotta mount and wire lol

Well I got the aux battery mounted and the isolator charger thingy mounted and wired and believe it or not it works. I didnt wire in the guage though that shows the 2 battery voltages, I'll try that on another day. Everybody was saying I need a relay to power the 8 switch panel, so I got a relay. I have f***ed with that damn relay and switch panel ALL DAMN DAY!!! It still doesnt work after watching s*** tons of videos and looking at diagrams. I cut the damn thing out and threw all $28 worth of that pile of crap just as far as I could throw it! Tomorrow I'll wire and fuse each switch individually for each accessory that will be ran off of it, or maybe a fused wire per 2 switches, something like that. Im never messing with a damn relay again. I fixin to take a shower and have some adult beverages to de-stress. Heres a few pics. Yall have a good night.

Could have came here. We would have walked you thru the relay wiring.
Well the only thing I can think is the relay was faulty right out of the box. I bought the relay and the little harness that it plugs into. I watched a ton of videos and Im pretty confident I did it right. Wiring is my weak spot, but I'm still pretty sure I did it right. Im just gonna wire the panel the way I've always wired anything, a fused power wire to the switch and an accessory coming from the switch. :)

Got the switch panel wired today and the rocklights in the fenderwells wired up and working. Got the snorkel 'kinda' installed. The snorkel is made by snorkelyouratv.com and Im kinda not real impressed by the fit-up of the pieces. Its like their 'jig' is off by a few degrees on some of the pieces. Of course the pieces that are not quite aimed right are already glued from the factory. The man that runs the place was good on his promise though and sent me the missing fancy top piece that wasnt in the box. I really like that part of it. I'm gonna have to do a little bit of rigging and possibly buy a small 45° elbow or 2 to make things line up under the hood to the stock air intake hole. Heres some pics. Snorkel is on just for mock up, not permanent at this point.

Ive been tinkering with it the last couple of days after work and I ended up getting the lightbar mounted and wired. I picked up some pretty cool lightbar brackets at tractor supply of all places that can be turned to different angles and comes with different rubber grommets to fit different size rollcage tubing. I put the wires through the drivers side rollcage upright down through the fender under the hood. Also got the red rocklights mounted and wired. I picked up a few 2" pvc elbows and I will try to button up the snorkel install tomorrow night after work. We are going camping and riding this weekend so I gotta get it done! Heres a few pics.

The pics with the red lights underbody look awesome, the tires are so beefy!! The shadows they cast are like castles!
Lol yes now that you mention it they do look like castles! Yeah I like the glow of the rocklights. They are actually pretty high quality for as little as they cost. Cast aluminum housing thats powdercoated black and they come with rubber grommets and stainless hardware. Ive got them on my P5, she had them on her P7-4, we've got them under our pontoon boat, and now on her P1000.

My phone is acting screwy. I tried adding the pic of the rock lights how they are on Amazon but either my phone, or this website is acting weird.

Ok this evening I got the snorkel finished. I didnt put the screen over the end though, I guess I need superglue for that or something. I gotta tell yall Im not real excited about this snorkel. I shoulda got the stainless one that went through the passenger cup holder. I will probably build my own one of these days. Im kinda in a time crunch for now though because we're going riding and camping tomorrow. I took my heat gun and heated up the piece that goes between the outer fender that I drilled the 2.5" hole in, and the inner fender that has the big ugly hole in it that it looks like Ray Charles cut in there with a sawzall at midnight in a thunder storm. Anyway, that got the angle a little better and then I put two 22.5° female to male 2" couplings in there aimed towards the stock intake hole. I had to trim the end off of the 2nd 22.5° coupling and I had to trim the piece that comes in the kit that plugs down into the stock intake hole. I had to trim the rubber coupling almost in half that has the hose clamps on it that came in the kit also. So be warned, if any of yall buy the snorkelyouratv.com snorkel kit you will probably have to do the same. The only things I have left to do to it for now is put the winch and winch mount on, and also the SuperATV arched front arms. That is something I'll tackle maybe next weekend though. I gassed it up and in the morning I'll load it on the trailer and hook the dually to the camper and we're hittin the road! Yall be good!

Well we got back from drinking...ooops..I meant camping and riding. 2nd trip out and she got off in a deep watery mudhole late at night and got high centered on an old tree stump and broke the drivers front c.v. shaft and bent the hell out of the drivers side tie rod going to the steering box. We kept right on riding for a good long while and we all eventually got back to camp and a nice big bonfire. Today when I went to limp the sxs on the trailer as soon as the front tires hit the trailer ramps the drivers side tire bent way to the left while I was steering it straight. I had to actually pop the tie rod balljoint out of the hole and straighten the tire by hand. Then my buddy kept the tire straight by pushing it while I drove it up the trailer. Got it home and pullled the tie rod out of the steering box and pressed it straight on my little shop press I got. It worked out nice and is all back together. Just need to get a c.v. shaft now. Oh yeah, and somehow in the drunken debauchery that was last night, the passenger headrest got tore off. Lol I did notice one of the bolts is missing and I guess the other one pulled through the hole in the headrest. Nothing damaged though. Just gotta round up a 2nd bolt and bolt it back on. Ok, enough rambling. Heres a few pics of the tie rod.

You should really replace the tierod. I give it less than a mile before it bends again. Much easier to replace at home in a clean dry shop.
