In Washington the politicians actually passed a very real law condemning hunting Samsquinch, punishable by huge fines and imprisonment.
Here is a link to the Skamania County WA. ordinance.

http://www.skamaniacounty.org/ordinance/Ord_1984-2.pdf

They revised it in 1984 reducing the crime of killing a Sasquatch, Yeti, Bigfoot, or Giant Hairy Ape from a Felony to a Gross Misdemeanor.

Even if you don't find Sasquatch in Skamania you may be lucky and find the remains of D.B. Cooper or his cash.

I am a new member here and stumbled across this thread. I have had a few experiences with them as well as a sighting( all can be verified with other witnesses). Sadly this was back in my more adventures days when I could still walk without problems
I believe they are a little more common and live in more diverse country than so called typical bigfoot country. I came to this conclusion on the number of sightings in this immediate area by reputable people.
The best way to see one, hear one or experience them is to be in the right place at the wrong time.

Did you not have a really crappy camera so you could get a picture we can't really make out?

LOL, I can't recall even having a cell phone back then and definitely no camera.
There is no way I could of even used it, I had a .44 mag on me which I didn't even think about until it was over.
They are very quick.

If you would have used the .44 on him you would be tarred and feathered as the man who killed Bigfoot but you could have named your price for the body.

I have often thought of that. Seeing a unknown humanoid rise out of a patch of weeds at 40 feet puts the fear of God in a person.
It would take someone besides me to shoot one unless in defense. Even in those days before all the staged crap on youtube pulling the trigger on a upright running being is beyond me. Besides that I have never been great with a handgun and that things momma would have torn me into bits.
