Ok, to spill the beans. I've been nursing a torn up knee for months. The American healthcare and insurance systems are total jokes by the way. Finally after waiting for 3 months to get into the Rheumatologist he tells me that it's not RA it's structural and sends me to the Orthopedic surgeon. Xrays show adequate space so no knee replacement but something is definitely wrong. Need an MRI but the trash insurance company won't pay for it until I do a month of physical therapy. I'm in the midst of that now.

Not to be deterred, I have new goodies that need to be out of the box and on the Talon. To begin with I'll be going to a friends shop in a couple of weeks to shoot video while he changes the stock rack to the very trick RB3/JSport SXS billet rack. Looking very forward to having this in the Talon. It is truly a work of art.

Very nice Terry. What is the anticipated practical improvement to the riding experience with that $1,000.00 upgrade. I don’t think it will have any effect on the problem that PaulF is working on…. I’m asking because I need to be talked into spending the (($1,100.00 in the case of the X4) money on mine…..😂

As to the knee issue, I’m in the same boat with my right knee. We own a medical billing company and my wife twists on insurance companies for a living and got my MRI scheduled without jumping through the whops. I’ll get it the first week of February….

It is certainly a much beefier and better made piece than the original. I expect it to last as long as I do. Once we get it installed I'll report back on any functional improvements.

Oh yeah, it’s a great piece, and I’ll be interested in hearing that there’s steering improvement if there is any….👍

Still hung up in the American healthcare/health insurance system with the torn up knee. Finally got an MRI after hurting my knee even worse in the insurance required 4 weeks of physical therapy. Multiple tears in the left MCL. Orthopedic surgeon #1 says it needs an arthroscopic specialist so now awaiting an appointment next Friday with ortho surgeon #2. Totally sick of doing nothing so spent some time in the shop yesterday doing some simple installs and I'm paying for it now.

First was the Desertcraft foam prefilter. Definitely a super simple deal and I'd guess that it's going to b4 very effective. I'll report back when I actually get to test it.

I've also been sitting on these pieces from Razor Edge Design. Their new customizable Talon grille cover. I had to continue the Retro Talon theme on it. Super simple install using 4 push pins unless you have pod lights in the way like I did. Ended up modding the light brackets to shorten them and clear the grille.

Pretty cool with the rock light behind the new grille...if you're into that sort of thing. 🤣



Also got their very cool torn American flag for the dash to replace the goofy warning label. Again, a suer simple install unless you have the base for the table mounted though that panel. Had to file a couple of clearance spots for the bolts in the edge of the cutout.

12 days out from knee surgery and it was time to get something done around the place. Helped the wife with a trailer load of compost and the beginning of awakening the garden from it's winter sleep. Pretty good load on the trailer and it didn't even squat the Talon. lol...

He just keeps on moving forward with products for the Talon. Tender springs only to start, then the full spring kit, now onto the complete shocks.

I see that, he about had me ready to order me a set of springs from bandit, starting to wonder now😂

Yup. These are prudy. Ted at Our Shop | Bandit UTV Suspension has really done a nice job building these shocks. Can't wait to get the limit strap kits in from UTV & Side By Side Parts & Accessories from AllThingzUTV.com! Looking very forward to getting these on the old X!

I wanna report on how good it rides when you get them on👍, only reason I left the utility machines for the sport is the better ride, now everyone says they ride like crap🤣

Not a bad price for the shocks considering the Weller Racing rebuild was around $1300 plus $100 for shipping to them. I have the AllThinzUTV strap kit. I have them installed on the front but have not been out with them installed on the back yet. I could tell there was way less bumping in the steering wheel with the front straps on. I would like to try your setup vs my Weller Racing setup to compare the two. Maybe I can talk you into riding with us one day to compare the differences.

I have it on order but all the mesh grilles are on back order with no delivery date. I had a custom grille from Razor Edge Design on the Talon already so I ordered a custom '22 grille from them.
