ive had an 04 and now have an 05.

i bought the 04 with a hpop issue at 135k, then had an injector go out at around 300k. when that one went i did an egr delete, bigger injectors, new hpop and hotter tune. its still running around in watertown tn.

my new truck is the 05 that i bought already bulletproofed. the previous owner didnt know much about them and let the truck sit all the time, which is a death sentence to a 6.0. he bought the truck new and dumped a ridiculous amount of money in it being bulletproofed and then stereo, wheels tires, lift, airbags, horns, lights blah blah blah. but im still fixing little things that were done poorly or just not to my liking but ill be rocking it till i can get a new 6.7 hopefully.

the 6.0 is hated which is good for me because i can find them cheap and ive learned the ins and outs of them.

Oh yeah... the 4.3 hold up as well as a 350 V8. I had 2 trucks with them. Hauled a friend's boat one day and we both thought there was something wrong with my truck. Couldn't stay at 60 mph without downshifting to 2nd gear. Turned around and got his Ford 300 I-6 auto. Dragged that boat in OD at 70 mph like a walk in the park. That's when I realised what a pulling workhorse those 300s are.

I'd check out the Yamaha Wolverine. Or the new Wolverine X2
Don't leave out the new Textron line up, the Havoc has a great lay out, just a little wide for me.

hey now I’m really trying to keep my mouth shut and been working hard to not go trucks, religion or politics, but...
I swear by the inline as does all heavy industry. I try to go with dependability over a grill badge and look at things as a percentage, I’ll pick the 10 bad in a 100 odds over the 10 good in a 100 anytime. I’m not a maintenance type I can’t afford the other way. 400k never apart and counting here, just broke in:)
