I gave in and added a spare tire mount. I set it up for either 4 seats or 5. I definitely like the 4 seat spot more but Dragonfire made a rock solid mount and I'm confident either position will take the abuse I put it through

4 seat mount. It's a bit high but doesn't affect bed space and let's the bed dump. I'll run it here most of the time. The mount is solid clamped in place and you can yank the machine around with it.

Or off the back so all 5 seats are available. This hangs off a bit more than I would like but it keeps the taillights visible and doesn't obstruct the bed or tailgate

Greased my wheel bearings and added zerks to my rear knuckles. Also installed new rear pads and stainless brake lines

Up in the air for the week.

I also swapped out my parking brake for a hill Billy brake. Not sure I'd like the hill Billy because of the spring design and as it turns out it's a lot clumsier than I expected. The mechanism requires you to push the pedal as hard as you can and it doesn't have any positive engagement when it's on. I also can't see it from the seat so it requires a lot of effort to figure out. It does release really nice.

Out with the old

In with the new, unlocked

Locked. With just a bump of the pedal, it unlocks which should prevent forgetting that it's on. That's probably the feature I'm most satisfied with

I bought that also. It is kinda hard to engage but I'm satisfied with it. I've only been on 2 rides with it.

Added rear fender flares today. Wanted to keep some of the mud out of the rear doors and keep my boys a bit cleaner in thr back. Pretty simple 36x24 mud flap cut in half with the corners trimmed for looks and a bit of clearance to the rear cage. Bed dumps and they tuck inside the roll cage.

Pioneer Takeover was pretty rough on us. Everybody was ok but these are officially the last photos of my 2016 P1k-5. Bummer to send it down the road.

I think I'll kick of another build thread Wednesday when I pick up the 2018 clone.
