Getting the turkey ready to cook on Thanksgiving day. Man its gonna be tasty! Here's a quick rundown to get it ready for the fryer.

•Remove the neck and other items from the cavity
•• Wash the bird thoroughly
• I inject the bird with a combination seasonings
• Rub the outside of the bird with the injectable marinade
• Season the cavity and outside of the bird with your favorite flavor
• Cover tightly with foil and refrigerate until ready cook
• Use peanut oil to fry the bird
• Good rule of thumb , cook for 3min per pound with your oil at 350 degrees

Enjoy!

6 of the 7 birds I’m frying Thursday morning for my church to feed the homeless. 6 hams also being cooked. Should be a busy next 36 hours for me. Game on bird cookers! Let’s see that prep work.

Thought about the Egg again this year but going with oven. Getting up like you to take out of brine. Dry off, rub with peanut oil, dust with seasoning. Put onions an apples an stick of butter in cavity and cook breast side down til last hr and flip. Wrapping wing and drum tips with tin foil. First time with this method.
