Cool breeze and rain here today, like we need anymore rain... the Mighty Mississippi is coming up!
I need to do the same but it’s too wet right now, I’ll have to be ready when it dries out some to catch a day with less wind.Planning on burning my pasture tomorrow.
Its gusting to 40 here out of the north with snow coming. Lack of wind for tomorrow will be the issue. Light and variable sucks for burning.I need to do the same but it’s too wet right now, I’ll have to be ready when it dries out some to catch a day with less wind.
Yeah, it’s a volatile time of year, short windows to do things right now.Its gusting to 40 here out of the north with snow coming. Lack of wind for tomorrow will be the issue. Light and variable sucks for burning.

Good luck.Planning on burning my pasture tomorrow.
We burned huge brus piles last year about this time at the camp. Needed permit and DNR had to come. We had an excavator throwing stuff on. Burnt it all. You can just see the excavator, and you can see how high he piled them.Yeah, it’s a volatile time of year, short windows to do things right now.

There was , I think, 12 piles like that. He’s a good operator. And that’s a big Hitachi excavator.That’s a pile Caper!

When the piles burnt down, and just piles of glowing embers, it would have been perfect, except you would have burnt your face off with the heat coming off. Bill just used the excavator to keep stirring until it was all gone. Worked great.Where’s the Hotdogs?
We used a leaf blower to get the piles going. Totally soaked. As you can see, they burnt. When the piles burnt down, and just piles of glowing embers, it would have been perfect, except you would have burnt your face off with the heat coming off.
