View attachment 120494 This couple just got married in Gros Morne national park in Newfoundland. Can only get there in the winter by snowmobile. Over 40 sleds to get everyone up there.

That brisket (in the refrigerator now) sets on the smoker for 24 hours, 180* over hickory!!!! Just put it in your mouth and it desolves. And you don’t need a $1,000.00 smoker, a well seasoned $99.00 Walmart smoker and a lot of experience gets it done....

That brisket (in the refrigerator now) sets on the smoker for 24 hours, 180* over hickory!!!! Just put it in your mouth and it desolves. And you don’t need a $1,000.00 smoker, a well seasoned $99.00 Walmart smoker and a lot of experience gets it done....
My friend in Alberta smokes everything. Before we go out hunting, he’ll start it, so by the end of the day, it’s ready. Like you said. Melt in your mouth. His just looks like a 25 gallon barrel. I think it’s called an Ugly smoker. Just hang it on hooks. Making me hungry. :)

My friend in Alberta smokes everything. Before we go out hunting, he’ll start it, so by the end of the day, it’s ready. Like you said. Melt in your mouth. His just looks like a 25 gallon barrel. I think it’s called an Ugly smoker. Just hang it on hooks. Making me hungry. :)

Unless it’s electric, or a pellet smoker, I don’t know how you can just light it and walk away and have perfectly smoked meat at the end of the day??? ;)
Nope. Just slow. He’s been doing it a long time. He starts the coals in a little thing then puts the coals in the bottom with the chips. Hangs the meat. He checks it . He’s done steak, ribs, small roast and chicken. And when you come back from-25 sitting in a blind. Your hungry. He feeds me well. :)

I go through a crap ton of hickory when smoking, 24 hours, even set the alarm and get up every three hours at night. Consistent low heat is critical to smoked meat, a whole different deal than what he does.

Haha. Not grilled. Smoking for 8 to ten hours. This smoker , you hang everything on hooks. Works good. :)

have a electric one, use chunks of apple tree from the yard, chicken turkey are good. we'll do burgers too they are real good

wind has been worse than I ever remember this year, yesterday was terrible here too. haven't even gotten out to my woods trails are all blocked, still have to do my yard too. sat supposed to be nice for once here though might be able to start working on the trails
