What are we looking at. Foothills. ?
Is that a hog scald pit? We have an area that has several pits like that and it's called Hog Scald Holler, supposedly built a big fire and used RR iron to transfer heat the the pits?I did indeed, took the weekend off of that dozer, resting the neck and back.
Took some time to poke around the property and found this neat little area.

That mountain though, Hermits Peak is 10,500’
And yes New Mexico
Nice.I rented an 1870 adobe casita in town for a year while I’m building out there on the property. Having a fire and a glass of wine. Ponderosa pine is the prevalent wood here. Crackles a lot and smells good, piñon pine too.
Back on the dozer tomorrow, two days left to work the road before the garage is delivered!! Woot woot.

The little bit of snow was perfect for hunting. You were probably happy to have it. Get them moving.
It probably wasn’t-25 like it was when I was sitting in my blind in Alberta. Haha. He has to be bigger than the last one before I pull the trigger in. -25. Two years ago I got a beautiful 12 point. Over 240 lbs. So last year I didn’t shoot anything. Too cold . Haha
