We have another shot at good rainfall here in Arkansas in about a week or so. This is suppose run straight into state. Course it will be a tropical storm at most. But, models show anywhere from 4-8 inches of rain possible. Of course this all can change but GFS model has been accurate so far past few weeks.

Riding deer camp in morning hang one more camera? Suppose be cloudy with slight chance of rain till afternoon.

57 to 84 today and beautiful sun set. Rumors of rain in late October...just rumors at this point.

65 and maybe 70 something later.

I was forced to go to a Japanese steak house last night for copilot's birthday and had calamari from NS...not sure where but it was good with the typical Japanese spatula and knife swinging act that almost makes the trip worth while. This guy had a spatula, knife and big sharp fork in the air at the same time...all spinning and he would pull one out of the air and do something on the grill and throw it back up...not something I care to attempt but it was a GREAT show.

I’ve only had calamari once. Didn’t taste like anything.
Some people say octopus are aliens, because they are so smart. Maybe that’s why that’s UFO splashed into the ocean when the navy jets were chasing it. It was full of octopuses. 😊

Try it again...cooked properly and not over cooked it's fine...same with octopus. Greek fisherman bring them in and cook right on the boat...garlic and olive oil are the key I think. Many years ago I used to take boy scouts camping on Greek beaches and they loved squid and octopus and some times flounder steaks. I grew up eating that stuff from the Gulf of Mex...miss it!!

Chicken of the sea...you oughta clean before you eat it...everything is unclean if you just eat it without getting the hair off. I like my ribeye med rare...just not quite dripping blood but rested 6-8 min off the heat. Only Idaho tatters right! Had yellar squash this morning fried up with eggs, mushrooms and red onions.

Thanks Caper!! Feeling better and probably back to normal in a week or so...shoulder has issues anyway...like old age and too much abuse over the years. Might deer hunt with a .243 this year instead of my .260 which is the usual way to go. I'm shooting a 25 lb recurve bow and building up slowly. If I can't get to the legal limit of 40 lbs I'll likely not bow hunt. Thanks for asking!!

My right shoulder is screwed too.
I use a 243 in Alberta. My last deer was 12 pt and around 250. Only had a head shot, got him in the left eye next to the middle. He dropped like a stone.
It’s definitely easier on the shoulder than my 30-06.
