Only if you’re using your vehicle off-road from camp to camp and carting all your stuff with you between setups
Honestly, overland travel can be any method over any terrain and should not be limited to rugged 4x4 experiences. I really love watching extreme sports by Bicycle on trails on some of the most insane trails all over the world. Technically it’s over landing. I get the whole point of this thread and that you want to keep it within a certain boundary for camping and riding off-road, but if someone wanted to share their experiences of flying across the amazon basin in a ultralight. It’s still overland travel. To me, like others have said, it’s still just camping out of a vehicle. Remanufactured to make it seem more glamorous. Hence the sarcastic newish name of Glamping. And again, like the batwing, Same basic design with a new modified name. It’s still all the same and we’ve been doing it since the time of the hunter gatherers.
