CP’s Talon Rebuild

Got done at work tonight and straight home to the Talon. Here’s to the start of the headliner. Kind of a pita bending the center in the back 1 1/4” up and all way across front 2 1/2” down. Think I got it. Still crude but now follows cage closer.
I’m an auto guy so forgive me for using automotive grade materials on the 3/4 ply lol.

Same setup i've got, i don't share the opinion of the many who say if you do the relocate or s&b your air filter will last forever. I think the rear window sucks a lot of dirt right into the intake and overwhelms the s&b. I get about 3500 miles before the filter minder gets to the halfway point. Wife wanted to go for a relatively short 100 mile ride, i washed the machine before that ride. As always your mileage may vary but i wouldn't recommend ignoring air filter checks.

Trying to tuck it up as high as possible but the speakers have 2 1/4 depth so it’s on/off with roof. Right now it’s looking like headliner will hang 1/4” below the ROPS is all, edges are beveled so won’t look like it.
1/2 led spacer under speaker and 1/2” speaker mount so about 1 1/4 below ROPS for speakers. I want it as unobtrusive as possible. Could’ve went with a more shallow speaker but wanted these, they rock and have proven to hold up in other machines

Infinity's are my go to as well. They just sound good to my ear, never harsh or screeching.

No I haven’t. I’m sure there’s a better speaker out there but once I find something that works good I tend to not look around much. Honestly the infins sound good but more importantly I’ve never had one fail even submerged.
However the led speaker rings I’m using are DS18

And this is what I was going for. Plenty of sound, place to keep sunglasses and phone all safe and added three switches that’ll turn on whips/speaker and rings/ exterior and headlights internal rgb led lighting. It’s all going to be tied into one another so figured separate on/off for each system. Will have separate occupant lighting and door as well which I’ve always really liked in the Pioneer.
Got a little trimming to do, add speaker boxes then fiberglass over. But it fits nicely up inside.

If memory serves @highpocket74 of 10-80 dirt sports was working on something. There was definitely a thread about a magnetic plate on here not too long ago anyway. Not sure which model it was for though.
