P1000 Jackal's P1000-5

Well just as well get this started off. For those of you that followed along on my Pioneer 500 build, I pretty much bought all my accessories before I even had the machine in hand and within 3 weeks of having it home it was all tricked out like I wanted.

Thanks to @HondaProKevin from Honda of Chattanooga I will pick up a Red Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe on 12/22 just before Christmas. :)

Stay tuned going to be a long and expensive 2 months. :D

Looking good. Will you be keeping the stock wheels and tires? I plan on keeping my stock wheels and tires for putting around.

Looks like it's going to work and keep your tires tucked in under fenders. Will that offset be better or worse for clearance when turning or what's your thought there.
STI HD3 14 x 7 rims with 6+1 offset, ordered one rim to ensure I had adequate clearance going with the 6+1 offset. Turns out is was about 1/2" difference per side in front and 1 1/2" difference per side in rear* Note OEM rim is 8" wide this is 7" so 1" of the 1 1/2" is due to the rim width difference in the back. Everything cleared front and rear should put me close at 61" front and 60" wide in the rear. I took pics of it mounted to the front as a test fit full lock to full lock but the concrete worms must have gotten to my phone. Anywhoo here is the rim mounted on the rear.

So I will be going with these wheels on 30" x 10 x 14 Roctane XD tires.

In reality probably just a hair worse or less clearance especially where the UHMW skid turns up, skid material actually goes into the wheel well a hair which is a good thing for protection but works against tire clearance. I may have to trim on the skid flare protruding into the wheel well but the OEM plastic is going to clear just fine and I am referring when at full lock with the rear of the tire it towards the frame, everything else will be OK.

Some shots of the before and after lift installation measured at front fairlead, front side and rear side near the wheel wells. netted a full 2" of increased clearance after the suspension settled in from riding.

Each is BEFORE / AFTER
Before Lift Front After Lift Front
Before Lift front Side After Lift Front Side
Before Lift Rear Side After Lift Rear Side

And an overall view with lift installed front / rear.

Now in the process of securing the 46" MTX Radio / Sound Bar it is only designed to stretch out to 56" center to center on roll bar width and the P1000 is a full 60" right above you head, but up front as far as you can place it 3" from the HONDA clamps (you can remove the windshield & roof without messing with sound bar) for the roof and windshield it is about 58" but has welded gussets that you just cannot cram the MTX clamps on there at least not to my satisfaction. So I got me (4) U-bolts: (2) 1.75" & (2) 2", and (2) 1/4" thick x 1" wide metal strap 12" long pre drilled and will cut it in half to secure the MTX sound system to the roll bar, actually this will be stronger than the factory material and support it from underneath as well. Will be rock solid. The 1.75" U bolts go in the back and the 2" U bolts go in the front because of an over wrapping gusset. The MTX mounting "wings" are slid in 2" from max width setting, so this method would wok if you decided to mount the sound bar further back though I would not know why you want to.

Here is the hardware layout, just double the material in the photo with the sizes above all bolts used were 5/16":

Been working all evening cutting out my final rocker switch panel as my 6 gang switch holders arrived yesterday. Running 6 switches in the bottom row, and up top 2 switches for Winch power cut off and winch in/out and two USB 3.1 amp power stations for 4 total UBS ports. Left of the top switches is my volt meter for the 2nd battery and final a RAM mount for my GPS. The USB ports come in handy for charging phones, GoPro cameras, GPS, etc. Just finished it up haven't had time to plug all the wires in yet, but I am very happy with how it turned out given my limited skill.

how will you wire the volt meter?

I just finished wiring everything up and was going to put the voltmeter wired to the 2nd battery but then had no way to turn it off without adding another switch, Played with it wired in to the ignition on hot wire that goes to several of my switches. When idling the voltmeter reads 14.1 volts when I turn EVERYTHING on it drops to 12.8 volts. Now this is at idle but anything under 13 volts means you are discharging your battery or exceeding the output of the stator which is 600-650 watts at around 4500 rpm. I doubt I will ever run with everything turned on at once but when I do I am pulling around 900 watts, hence the reason for the second battery.

Here is the finish plate all mounted and wired up, got everything accomplished tonight I was hoping to get done by tomorrow. Now I need to wash this dusty beast and get some good clean photos. Hopefully we get the 2" of snow forecasted for tomorrow afternoon and I will have a decent background.

@JACKAL have you considered a spare tire? I'm thinking about a front brushguard mount, but not sure if its worth it... I guess its only worth it if I ever needed it.

Yes I will have a 5th matching spare tire & wheel, plan on mounting it to the back.
