I’m hoping it’s pretty good I wouldn’t mind upgrading to a water resistant one and moving my Btech UV-25x4 to the truck. The Btech is WAY better than a handheld even with an external speaker/mic.

I’ll have a solid review after this weekend. Works great in the garage but I want to see how it does when driving the trails. I did add a $7 speaker from radio shack as well.

Don't know spit about radios, going to ask a stupid question, can you get a radio that will blue tooth to hearing aids or ear piece?

I’m ignorant when it comes to radios. Can it be mounted upside down. In the back of a 5 seater. I will destroy it mount on top. The hole is not an issue just the low flying trees.

Yea it hits a lot of stuff for me too. I’ve bent it all over and just bend it back up right occasionally. I don’t know about mounting it upside down. Ask @Ragnar406 he is my resident radio guru.

Radio won' be here till Friday the 2nd. @Kilo427 and @JTW will be here late this evening for the ride this weekend. So I'm planning on an early morning brake line install before we pull out for Hidden Falls Thursday am.
I' thinking about mounting the antenna on the front bumper to help protect it. If that doesn' work I'm thinking about a magnetic base that I can move from front bumper to a steel plate that can easily be bolted to the factory top

You can but I would put it as far back as you can. Note that you are putting 20-25 watts through the antenna so there is a potential that it will get hot. I have ordered a flexiable antenna and am going to be trying a different mounting solution but I won’t know how it will work yet. Will post other antenna mounting options as well just can’t this morning as I am in a hurry
